Hi, I'm Carrie...

My professional background in fund raising is rooted in my volunteer service as a Peace Corps volunteer. After graduating from college, I spent two years as a TESL teacher trainer on the remote island of Abemama in the country of Kiribati. Immersing my life and work in an unfamiliar culture taught me that transformation and change can only happen when you truly understand the other perspective, mutually decide what will work best, and draw from everyone's strengths and knowledge.

Early in my career, I took on a few different roles in membership, fundraising, volunteer training, and youth engagement. In 2004, my husband and I decided to seek adventure and move across the country to San Diego. We found sun, natural beauty like no other, amazing friends, and an excellent development position with a private school in La Jolla.

In 2009 I joined San Diego's Community HousingWorks as their Development Director, enriching my skills and love of fundraising and systems even further. Now I'm back on the east coast, in Asheville, NC with my husband and daughter enjoying being closer to family and all that western North Carolina has to offer.

My decision to become a fund raising and data base consultant came at the right time in my career. In 2013, I made the leap to consulting with a focus on helping non-profit organizations set up their new Little Green Light database in a way that will give them the data they need to make strategic decisions around their fundraising and relationship-building efforts.

There is a lot of greatness happening out there in the world, and I am humbled and thrilled to be a part of it.
